Golden Globes 2024: domina Barbie con 9 nominations, segue Oppenheimer

Sono state svelate le nominations dei Golden Globes 2024, in cui Barbie di Greta Gerwig domina la classifica con ben 9 nominations, seguite dalle 8 di Oppenheimer. Nel campo delle serie domina “Succession”, che ha ottenuto ben nove nomination per la sua ultima stagione. “The Bear” di FX e “Only Murders in the Building” di Hulu sono i secondi show più nominati. con cinque nomination ciascuno. Oltre a “Succession”, la gara per le migliori fiction televisive coinvolgerà “1923”, “The Crown”, “The Diplomat”, “The Last of Us” e “The Morning Show”. “The Bear” e “Only Murders in the Building” si contenderanno il titolo di miglior commedia con “Abbott Elementary”, “Barry”, “Jury Duty” e “Ted Lasso”.

La cerimonia è la prima ad essere trasmessa sulla rete americana CBS dopo la fine del rapporto di lunga data dei Globes con la NBC. È anche il primo dopo una sostanziale riorganizzazione del backstage di quest’estate, che ha visto lo scioglimento della Hollywood Foreign Press Association, che in precedenza aveva votato e gestito i Globes. L’HFPA è stata sciolta e le attività dei Globes – precedentemente un ente di beneficenza – sono diventate una società a scopo di lucro, dopo essere state vendute a Dick Clark Productions. È stato nominato un nuovo gruppo dirigente, dopo una ristrutturazione che dovrebbe garantire una maggiore responsabilità. Il numero dei membri è stato portato a 300 da 75 paesi, molti dei quali provengono da minoranze. Eppure l’organismo rimane sorprendentemente diverso dalla composizione degli elettori Bafta e Oscar, che sono rispettivamente 6.000 e 10.000, e sono composti da persone che lavorano all’interno del settore.
